Italian strategist Massimiliano Allegri has been embroiled in an increasingly ugly legal battle with his ex-girlfriend, as it turns out he sought to cut alimony payments because he was "unemployed".

The quarrel is with his ex-partner, Claudia Ughi, while it is about the monthly amount he has to pay to help care for their son, who was born in 2011.

According to

La Gazzetta dello Sport

, in January 2021, the Juventus coach had tried to reduce his alimony payment from 10,000 euros per month to 5,000 euros because he was registered as 'unemployed' and his financial situation had changed.

He was sacked by the Italian club in May 2019, however he received his full salary for one year apart because he had another year on his contract.

However, in the period without receiving a salary, Allegri had requested a halving of the amount of alimony, which was refused.

Now the coach's lawyers have launched a new case accusing his ex-girlfriend of using the money that was supposed to be for their child for personal expenses.

Also, they say Claudia has used this money to help pay the university tuition fees for a child she has from a previous relationship.
