A team of chefs prepared a 285.4-kilogram hamburger at a culinary festival in Mexico.

The sandwich has been named the largest ever prepared in the history of the country, UPI reported, quoted by BTA.

The chefs at the second annual international hamburger festival in Mazatlan worked together to make the huge burger in about 10 minutes.

The festival management decided to cut the sandwich into portions and distribute it to local charities.

The burger is twice the size of the 155.5kg sandwich from last year's festival.

This year's hamburger set a national record for Mexico.

The organizers of the festival plan next year for the chefs to make a sandwich that will improve the Guinness World Record of over 1163 kilograms, set in Germany in 2017.
