A mother is being considered the heroine for the way she tried to save her family goose from a wild eagle.

Footage from security cameras captured the moment when Cait Oakley from North Saanich, British Columbia, ran out of her home alone while breastfeeding the baby, in order to stop the eagle from flying with the goose, Frankie, Telegrafi reports. .

Speaking to CTV News, Oakley said Frankie "sounded different," so she stepped out the front door while holding her breastfed baby at the time.

"The moment I opened the door, the eagle sat down at that time.

"That was the only thing in my head, how to 'let go'," she added.

Instincts quickly took hold, as Oakley, despite holding the baby and being naked, managed to scare the eagle and save Frankie from a possible injury or death.

As seen in the video, the eagle landed and caught the goose dragging it when in those moments the woman came out running, and for a moment the eagle released the goose and ran away.
