The effect of heavy rains was clearly visible in areas like JP Nagar, Jayanagar, Lalbagh, Chickpet, Majestic, Malleswaram, Rajajinagar, Yeshwantpur, MG Road, Cubbon Park, Vijayanagar, Rajarajeshwari Nagar, Kengeri, Magadi Road and Mysore Road. 

Let us inform that the Meteorological Department had already warned about heavy rains in Karnataka.

In fact, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an orange alert for urban and rural districts of Bengaluru, in which heavy rains have been predicted for the next 4-5 days in the city.

IMD has predicted rain and thundershower along with coastal and south interior places.

The southern interior locations of the country include Bengaluru, Madikeri, Chikmagalur, Wayanad, Kovalam and many other cities in southern India.

At the same time, the southwest monsoon advanced into the Andaman and Nicobar Islands on Monday, indicating the beginning of four months of seasonal rains, which are important for the largely agriculture-dependent economy.
