Iuliana Marciuc, who was the head of Romania's delegation to Eurovision, made a statement saying that they were not informed why their state's maximum points were given to Ukraine, which was declared the winner, and not to Moldova, which they had decided.

She made these statements on national television there TVR News, saying that she does not know yet why the votes of the Romanian jury have been changed and the 12 points they had given to the Republic of Moldova have gone to Ukraine.

Marciuc also clarified that the trial in Bucharest was done in compliance with the EBU regulation, from which he expects a response to this situation.

"I called Bucharest, asked to be given the score, because until then I did not know and asked for details on how to organize the jury in the studio.

I learned that it was organized according to all the rules set by the EBU, with the presence of a mandatory notary, a notary who would arrive in the studio in front of the jury members.

Jury members could not communicate with each other, could not speak, each signed his own jury, did not see the total jury score.

In this way, we do not know what the problem of this jury is ", said Iuliana Marciuc.

At the same time, the head of the Romanian delegation also revealed that only during the Eurovision finale on Saturday night (May 14th) did TV producer Liana Damian, in charge of the jury, notice discrepancies with the report sent the day before to the EBU and that practically , the results of the jury specialists in the Bucharest studio were not taken over.

"I have not received any official statement regarding the suspicions related to the second semifinal, suspicions provided in this bulletin were received only in the late hours of the night during the trial process.

This email was received about 30 minutes after our producer requested a phone call with polling operator Digame for details about this discrepancy.

"In this way we found out that the 12 points given to Moldova were given by us to Ukraine", she explained.

Iuliana Marciuc also clarified to TVR News that since yesterday morning she has asked for an official explanation from the EBU regarding Romania's votes, but has not yet received any response.

TVR accuses the European Broadcasting Union (EBU), the organizer of Eurovision, of changing the outcome of the Romanian jury vote without explaining the reasons, shortly after it was revealed that voting in Romania and five other countries was ignored.

"We were surprised to find that the result of the Romanian jury vote was not taken into account in calculating the final ranking, the organizers assigned another set of points to the competitors in the final, on behalf of the jury of our country.

"We specify that the Romanian jury decided to give maximum points to the representatives of Moldova", it is written in the TVR communiqué.

National Television claims that "the rules were changed during the game, without notifying the participants in advance, as during the broadcast they discovered that some votes of the national juries were changed by the organizers without being informed".

But during the Eurovision final, the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) issued a statement explaining that in a suspected attempt to manipulate the jury vote they withdrew the jury votes from six countries.

Votes from Azerbaijan, Georgia, Montenegro, Poland, Romania and San Marino were all replaced with the new result.
