The reason for Lyashkovich's resignation was politics - the ex-director refused to dismiss her employees for political reasons.

Elena Lyashkovich managed the activities of the Yanka Kupala Literary Museum for 15 years.

During this time, new expositions have been created in museums and branches, one of the first in Belarus to start using multimedia in the exhibition space.

In total, more than 300 politically motivated dismissals in the field of culture are known.

A number of people were forced to leave Belarus.
