In the first quarter of this year, prices of agricultural products in Kosovo have increased by 17.72 percent compared to the same period of 2021.

This was announced by the Kosovo Agency of Statistics, which has presented the price index of agricultural products which includes data from January to March 2022.

KAS announces that during this period, the price index of livestock products has increased by 15.33 percent, compared to the same period of 2021.

Whereas, the price index of crop products is said to have increased by 25.62 percent in the first quarter of 2022 compared to the same period of 2021.

KAS further states that, within livestock, prices are collected for four categories of animals: cattle, sheep, pigs and chickens.

These prices are based on the live weight of the animals.

Within livestock products prices have been collected for: milk, eggs and honey.

All prices, according to KAS are calculated in euros and the units of measurement are: kg, liter and piece.

These data, the Kosovo Agency of Statistics (KAS), made known with the publication of the report, "Producer Price Index and Prices in Agriculture" for the first quarter of 2022.

In this publication, KAS announces that the prices of local agricultural products in Kosovo have been collected.

Price collection is done in the market, farms and other places.
