"In 1992, they moved to Kosovo after the war in Bosnia.

My mother is half Bosnian, so her mother was in Sarajevo at the time, but they moved to London as the situation started to get really difficult in the former Yugoslavia.

Something people forget all the time is that people do not really want to leave their country unless they really should.

"It is really out of necessity", said Dua.

"Then I was born in 1995. My parents spent a good time in London, but they always had in mind the idea that they would always want to return to Kosovo at some point.

When I was 11 years old, we returned to Kosovo.

All my friends would go to different schools, and instead of going to another school, I went to another place.

Albanian was my first language, I spoke it at home and then English was something I did at school and talked to my friends.

It was just a very interesting and exciting period of my life.

"I was also very excited by the idea that the name Dua would not seem so strange to people as in London", said the singer.

While living in Kosovo, Dua said she felt the need to go to a place where everything she dreamed of could happen in reality.

"When I lived in Kosovo from the age of 11 to 15, I liked to deal with music, but I just felt that there was no way I could really penetrate without being in a place where everything happened.

I felt like I had to be in London to make my dream come true.

This is what I felt I needed to do and where I needed to be.

People told me I could sing, but it was not so good, you could do it or it could be something, but it had nothing to do with the fact that you would do something.

"It was something I felt and I knew I wanted to do," said the star of the hit "Levitating".

Meanwhile, we emphasize that Dua is currently on the world tour "Future Nostalgia" and the next stops are in London, where she said she was happy to return.
