During February of this year, Kosovo imported 272.97 GWh of electricity, while it exported 182.85 GWh.

This was announced by the Kosovo Agency of Statistics (KAS), which has published Energy Statistics for February 2022 with data on coal production and consumption, energy production and consumption, energy import and export, and import and export of other energy sources.

"In February 2022, the gross production from: power plants was 548.04 GWh;

hydropower plants was 4.17 GWh;

as well as the gross production from wind and solar electricity was 38.37 GWh ", it is said in the press release.

The report further states that the gross available electricity was 680.7 GWh, while the electricity consumption was 469.92 GWh, or 7.39% higher than in the same month of the previous year.

"The share of alternative electricity within total consumption was 8.43%."

Meanwhile, coal production was 7.81 thousand tons, or about 5.27% more than in the same month of the previous year.
