British police officer Ben Perry recently wanted to renew his "blue sign" with which he is entitled to parking spaces for people with disabilities.

The Worcestershire County Council rejected his request, explaining that he should have "presented more evidence of his disability".

His doctor, whom Perry described as a "legend", described Perry's condition on the council and added that "Perry's leg will probably not grow", writes the BBC.

"I would be very grateful if you would take him into account when dealing with his requests in the future.

"It is unlikely that this situation will change, unless due to the progress of medicine, his leg does not grow again", writes the doctor.

Perry, meanwhile, was approved by the Council and the tweet in which this Briton explains the whole situation got thousands of likes.

He had his leg amputated in 2018 after being hit by a car while assisting another injured driver.

He spent 23 weeks in hospital and the driver who hit him was later convicted of negligent driving, the BBC reports.

I've recently tried to renew my blue badge but was told I didn't qualify for one and to supply more evidence of my disability.

After an appointment with my doctor, he composed a letter for me…

Please can we show some appreciation for this legend 🤣🤣🤣 pic.twitter.com/WahKMkne9q
