As previously reported, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky visited the city of Mykolaiv near the front line of fighting with Russian forces.

From there, it is reported that the head of state continued in the Odessa region, his office announced, Telegrafi reports.

They posted photos of Zelensky visiting the trauma department and talking to wounded soldiers who were being treated at a medical facility.

Since Russia began its occupation on February 24, Zelensky has not left Ukraine, but has challenged Russians with visits to areas close to intense fighting.

He has also repeatedly hailed Western leaders in Kiev - the latest being UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson.
