42 countries of the world called on Russia to return Ukraine's Zaporizhia nuclear power plant.

APA reports that this is stated in the information published on the website of the representation of the European Union (EU) to international organizations in Vienna.

It is reported that the Russian army poses a threat to the station and should withdraw its soldiers from there.

The statement was joined by all EU members and Norway, England, USA, Canada, Japan, South Korea, Australia, New Zealand, Georgia, Moldova, North Macedonia and Turkey separately.

The countries remind that the military actions of the Russian Federation against Ukraine are a gross violation of international law and the UN Charter, and that Russia's control over the Zaporizhia nuclear power plant is contrary to the principles of nuclear safety.
