Turkish forces have neutralized three Kurdish Workers' Party (PKK) terrorists in the Gara area of ​​northern Iraq, Ankara's state-run TRT Haber television reported, citing a statement from the Turkish Defense Ministry.

The statement said the three PKK terrorists, located as a result of joint work by the Turkish Armed Forces and the National Intelligence Organization (MIT) in the Gara area, had been neutralized by drones.

The Kurdish Workers' Party (PKK), which has been waging an armed struggle against the Turkish state since 1984, is seen as a terrorist organization by Ankara, the EU and the United States.

The group has bases in northern Iraq.
