The Taliban authorities accused the US of embezzling Afghanistan's assets and demanded the unconditional return of these assets.

According to APA, Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid said that the frozen assets belong to the Afghan people and their use should be released unconditionally.

Washington, in turn, created a fund in Switzerland and placed half of Afghanistan's frozen assets ($3.5 billion) here.

These funds will be used to pay off Afghanistan's foreign debts and electricity import debt.

The Central Bank of Afghanistan also said that the United States has frozen 7 billion dollars of assets.
