On Thursday, September 29, around 18:00, the occupiers fired artillery at the de-occupied town of Vovchansk in the Kharkiv region, which is located near the border of the Russian Federation.

As a result of the shelling , civilians were

killed

and wounded.

This was announced today, September 30, by the press service of the police of the Kharkiv region.

The Russians shelled Vovchansk from the territory of the Russian Federation.

Shells hit a high-rise apartment in the city center.

A private house was also damaged.

There are dead and wounded.

Employees of the investigative and operative group of the police department No. 1 of the Chuguyiv regional police department inspected the scene and seized physical evidence.

On this fact, criminal proceedings have been opened under Part 2 of Art.

438 (violation of the laws and customs of war) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

The sanction of the article provides imprisonment for a term of 10 to 15 years or life imprisonment.
