Philip Ricker, the new senior adviser of the US State Department on the Caucasus, will visit the region.

APA reports that Vedant Patel, the deputy spokesman of the US State Department, said this at a press briefing.

He noted that Philip Ricker will visit the South Caucasus region this week.

According to Patel, this will be Ricker's first visit to the South Caucasus in his new post: "We hope that such visits will take place regularly.

He will leave this evening."

It was reported that Ricker will go to Armenia, Georgia and Azerbaijan, and in all three countries, he will discuss the main issues in the region, find ways to solve outstanding issues and help partners for future regional cooperation.

At the same time, he will meet with senior officials to cooperate directly and constructively.
