The Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) appealed to the population about fire safety.

APA reports that the application states:

"The summer season is accompanied by more active activities in the field of agriculture and an increase in people's interest in relaxing in nature. However, if we take into account that the rise in air temperature increases the danger of fires and their rapid spread, it is necessary to be more careful. In a number of cases, people are careless and or irresponsible behavior, including deliberate burning of harvested grain fields, non-observance of relevant fire safety rules during economic activity or recreation, resulting in fires, resulting in damage to state or private property, national resources, including forests and nature reserves, as well as human life and causes his health to be in danger.

So, according to the information as of August 16, a total of 109 fire incidents were registered in the country during the last day, 47 of which fell to the North-West and North regions.

Covering an area of about 500 hectares, these fires are dominated by mown grain, dry grass, brush fields and forest massifs.

The extent of the danger is also indicated by the fact that the fire that started yesterday in the harvested grain field in the area of Khalfalar village of Shabran region spread quickly due to the hot and windy weather and damaged several private houses and auxiliary buildings.

Although the fires that occurred in the forest area in the mountainous area near the villages of Abrikh and Tikanli of Gabala region make it difficult to extinguish the fire due to the high altitude and the hot and windy weather, urgent measures are being taken to prevent and extinguish the spread of the fire.

Currently, the fires are under control and cooling operations are continuing.

It should be noted that in extinguishing the fires, the personnel and special equipment of the State Fire Protection and Special Risk Rescue services of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Civil Defense troops, the North and North-West regional centers, 2 helicopters of the Aviation detachment, the Forestry Center of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, and local enforcement employees of the structures as well as residents participate.

Addressing the population, especially entrepreneurs and private farm owners, the Ministry of Emergency Situations once again draws attention to the importance of strict compliance with fire safety requirements and the strengthening of control measures related to fire safety by the relevant state institutions.
