Our taekwondo player defeated Pablo Patino (Spain) 2:1 in the 1/16 finals and advanced to the final after defeating Alexios Bougas (Greece), Furkan Korpe (Turkey) and John Porha (Germany) 2:0.

Agayev also faced a Turkish athlete in a decisive battle.

Javad won the silver medal as the opponent won with a score of 2:1.

Before Agayev, Sayyad Dadashov (54 kg) won a gold medal, Eltaj Gafarov (74 kg) won a bronze medal.

It should be noted that after the European championship, the team will try its strength in the G2 open Albanian championship to be held in Tirana on October 1-2.
