US electric vehicle maker Tesla Inc. has stopped taking orders for its upcoming Cybertruck pickup truck outside North America.

According to foreign media, the Telegraph reports, the vehicle manufacturer is making reservations only for Cybertruck in the United States, Canada and Mexico.

And as Reuters points out, Tesla declined to comment on the matter.

Chief executive Elon Musk has said Tesla will begin production of Cybertruck next year at its plant in Austin, Texas.

He also said that Tesla may stop taking orders as demand for some of its vehicles exceeds production.

Tesla unveiled Cybertruck in 2019. It previously intended to start production at the end of this year, but has postponed the plan to the first quarter of 2023. /
