Dela Joss and other members of the delegation ended their six-day trip yesterday and left Taiwan by plane.

Deputy Foreign Minister Yu Daya said the signing ceremony symbolized a milestone in Taiwan-Czech relations, demonstrated each other's determination to strengthen bilateral cooperation between the two countries, and helped strengthen the resilience of democratic supply chains in the face of authoritarian threats.

Draghos: Bilateral relations to the next level

Draghos said that Taiwan and the Czech Republic share common values in freedom, democracy, human rights and the rights of disadvantaged groups, and there is no doubt that the two sides have very close exchanges in these areas.

He has been communicating with Taiwan since the late 1980s. The bilateral cooperation in many fields has been very active for a long time, but it can be broader, deeper and higher, which is why he organized a delegation to Taiwan this time. .

Regarding Taiwan-Czech relations and Taiwan-Europe relations, Delajos emphasized that the Taiwan Strait is one of the "very challenging" places in the world, and that peace, stability and the status quo in the Taiwan Strait are crucial to future cooperation between Taiwan and Europe.

From this perspective, China should not respond with military exercises or live ammunition, whether it is them or other European delegations visiting Taiwan in the future.

The EU is Taiwan's largest investor, which naturally makes the EU pay more attention to its partnership with Taiwan. In addition to expanding cooperation, it also allows the dialogue between Taiwan and Europe to "advance with the times."

Delajos also said emotionally, "Taiwan grows in my heart!" When he first came to Taiwan, he had already fallen in love with the island.

This trip comes after 25 years of re-visiting. Not only has Taiwan made amazing achievements in economic development, but he also appreciates Taiwan's transformation into a fully democratic society.

He appealed again, looking forward to the opening of direct flights between Taiwan and the Czech Republic.
