A father of three who earned the epithet of a hero, has managed to restrain a woman who was naked and running through the plane traveling to Manchester and repeatedly tried to get into the cockpit shouting "Allahu Akbar".

The woman claimed to have explosives with her, and repeatedly asked the children she had with her if they were ready to die.

She told horrified passengers and staff that her parents are members of the ISIS terrorist group, the Telegraph reports.

But O'Brien, who was on board with his family, including his wife and three children, reacted in time to prevent the worst.

Surprised that no one was responding, the father of three ran to help the staff.

The 35-year-old apparently didn't forget self-defense tactics until he worked as a security guard as a teenager, so he grabbed her and waited for the police to show up.
