Gurugram:

Former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister and Samajwadi Party (SP) leader Mulayam Singh Yadav's health deteriorated on Sunday and was shifted to the ICU of Medanta Hospital in Gurugram.

Let us inform that the 82-year-old SP leader has been hospitalized for several days but his condition started deteriorating on Sunday after which he had to be shifted to ICU.

Meanwhile, Akhilesh Yadav has left for Delhi from Lucknow as soon as the news of his father's health deteriorates.

Former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Mulayam Singh Yadav, popularly known as Netaji, founded the Samajwadi Party.

He currently represents the Mainpuri constituency in the Lok Sabha.

Earlier, Sadhna Gupta, wife of Samajwadi Party chief, died in July this year.

Sadhna Gupta was the second wife of Mulayam Singh Yadav.

His first wife Malti Devi passed away in 2003.

Malti Devi was the mother of Akhilesh Yadav.
