The co-founder of Pink Floyd, the British Roger Waters, said in an interview with

RT

on Friday that the conflict in Ukraine “can be stopped, in my opinion, tomorrow.

All that is needed is for the Americans to come to the table and say 'OK, let's get on with the Minsk agreements.'

And then it would all be over."

Asked if the West wants the conflict in Ukraine to end, the rock legend said: “No, they have no interest in ending it.

They will fight to the last Ukrainian.

Or if they want it to end, why don't they?

Because he is in your hands, he always has been.

He is in the hands of NATO, he is in the hands of Joe Biden, except that he is not, he is the one who pulls the strings on him.

And they don't want it to end.

There are huge fortunes to be made.”

Waters recalled that Zelensky promised during his campaign to uphold the Minsk agreements and end the civil war.

73% of Ukrainians voted for him because of the promise not to make a war, but, “the moment he was elected, someone put a gun to his head, I guess, and he changed his mind and did nothing it's".

The musician also referred to Nancy Pelosi's visit to Taipei, saying that Ukraine and Taiwan are the two points that could trigger World War III.

"If the Chinese people want to live under a communist regime, or the Russians, or anyone else in the world, let them do so, why shouldn't they be allowed self-determination?" he said.

Waters alluded to the "one China" principle, which was accepted for decades by the United States.

“Why do you have to decide, you, this colonial settlement in North America, why do you have to decide how everyone else in the world behaves?” he said.

Roger Waters added: "They want to rule the world, that's the dangerous thing about American foreign policy."
