The Prime Minister of Albania, Edi Rama, has responded to the President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, and that of Montenegro, Milo Djukanovic, regarding the statements about the "Open Balkans".

Rama, in a post on Twitter, said that anyone who is against the initiative of the "Open Balkans", is in his own right not to see, hear or understand…

According to him, this initiative promotes peace, cooperation, integration and accelerates the Berlin Process!

"The Open Balkans will not stop because the future cannot stop," Rama declared.

Rama's reaction came after Osmani during a press conference with Djukanovic, stated that Kosovo continues to maintain the same position, regional cooperation but within the Berlin Process.

Unlike the "Open Balkans", which has proved especially in recent months that it would result in the opening of our region to a greater influence of Russia, and we must stop this at all costs… Also instead of "Accelerating the progress of our countries towards the EU would put them in the waiting room and would prolong the integration process," said Osmani.

Meanwhile, Djukanovic said that the "Open Balkans" flowed in a moment of depression in the region, when German Chancellor Angela Merkel ended her term and when it was thought that European integration was questioned.

"We are very aware of the possibility of regional economic cooperation… This principled orientation does not mean that we have our eyes closed.

But, we think that in this topic we have a good initiative of the Berlin Process.

"This initiative is complementary to the path to European integration," Djukanovic said.

Currently part of the "Open Balkans" are Albania, Serbia and Northern Macedonia, while it has been opposed by three other Western Balkan countries, Kosovo, Montenegro and Bosnia./Telegrafi/

Whoever is against the Open Balkans has the right not to see, hear or understand that this initiative promotes peace, cooperation, integration and accelerates the Berlin Process!
