NATO allies discussed the consequences of Russia's war against Ukraine, as well as allies' capabilities and stockpiles of weapons and ammunition.

APA reports referring to NATO's website that the Secretary General of the Alliance, Jens Stoltenberg, said this at the extraordinary meeting of the Conference of Directors on National Armaments (CNAD) at the headquarters of NATO.

The secretary-general urged allies to continue building up military stockpiles as rapidly as possible.

"Increasing NATO's military reserves will ensure continued support to Ukraine.

As NATO allies, we must increase our stockpiles of ammunition and continue to work together to provide Ukraine with the support it needs for as long as it needs it," Stoltenberg stressed.

The meeting discussed how to better learn about any gaps in the allies' military resources and how to jointly eliminate such situations.
