Briefly:

  • The official reaction of the military authorities of Russia and Belarus to these explosions turned out to be surprisingly similar.

  • Paradoxically, not only opponents of the regime but also its supporters do not believe official information.

  • In both dictatorial regimes, the war launched two opposite processes: unification "around the flag" and growing distrust of official information.

  • Independent media can fulfill the role of crisis media, showing what is really happening.

First it exploded in Crimea.

On August 9, according to independent researchers, more than ten explosions took place at the Saki military airfield near the village of Navafeodoravka, and about eight planes were destroyed.

Then it was the turn of Belarus.

On the night of August 10-11, residents of the southern districts of Goml and surrounding villages heard sounds similar to explosions and saw flashes in the sky (at least 8 reflections).

All this happened in the area of the airfield in Zybravka.

The official reaction of the military authorities of Russia and Belarus to these explosions turned out to be surprisingly similar.

The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation stated that the detonation of several aviation munitions took place.

Many observers recalled that the Russian military leadership said something similar after the death of the cruiser "Moskva".

The Ministry of Defense of Belarus commented on the explosions in Zyabrivka as follows: "On August 10, around 11:00 p.m., during a control run, one of the vehicles caught fire after the engine had been replaced."

And eight explosions from "engine fire"?

Well, well...

This fact should be mentioned here.

During the celebration of the Republic Day, Lukashenko said that Ukrainian troops allegedly tried to attack the military facilities of Belarus a few days ago, but all the missiles were intercepted.

That is, according to Lukashenka, Ukraine launched a real military attack on Belarus.

Although he did not provide any facts to prove that version.

Now the fact of some explosions at the military airfield is not in doubt, it is recognized.

But explained by "engine fire"...

The Ukrainian authorities are also obfuscating, they do not take responsibility for these explosions, but they do not categorically deny their involvement.

The adviser of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Mikhail Padalyak, wrote on Twitter: "The epidemic of technical accidents at military airfields in Crimea and Belarus should be considered as a warning to Russian soldiers: Forget about Ukraine, take off your uniform and leave.

Neither in occupied Crimea nor in occupied Belarus will you be able to feel safe.

Karma will find you everywhere."

What is all this for?

About trust in official information.

He was still not very big.

The covid epidemic severely undermined trust in the government.

In Belarus, few people believed in the numbers of infected and dead given by the Ministry of Health.

Then the presidential elections happened, after which Yarmoshyna announced that Lukashenka won 80% of the votes, and this finally undermined trust in the government's policies.

Paradoxically, not only opponents of the regime but also its supporters do not believe official information.

But the latter believe that it is necessary for the highest state interests: it is impossible to tell the truth, because there will be panic and other negative consequences.

And already during the war, it is believed that telling the truth is almost like working for the enemy.

I do not undertake to state or find out what actually exploded there.

I just want to testify that the majority of citizens do not believe official information.

By the way, it was funny to watch the reaction of Russian propagandists to the explosions in Crimea.

At first, they were outraged by the arrogance and bloodthirstiness of the Ukrainians, who encroached on the territory of the Russian Federation (because they consider Crimea to be Russian), and demanded an adequate response.

That is, there was no doubt that it was the work of the Ukrainian military.

And only then, having received the necessary installation, did they support the official version about the accidental detonation of ammunition.

And even after the official version was announced, there were photos of an empty beach in Novofeodaravka, which is not far from the airfield, and information about long queues on the Crimean bridge.

Russian citizens vacationing in Crimea did not believe the statement of the Ministry of Defense, quickly packed their bags and ran away from the dangerous place.

The paradox of the situation is that in both dictatorial regimes the war launched two opposite processes: unification "around the flag" and growing distrust of official information.

These two trends are surprisingly applicable to each other.

At the same time, during such peak events, such as unexplained explosions at military facilities, the demand for alternative information grows.

And here, independent media can play the role of crisis media, showing what is really happening.

The opinions expressed in the blogs represent the views of the authors themselves and do not necessarily reflect the editorial position.
