Hurricane "Fiona", observed with strong wind and torrential rain, caused problems in the electricity supply system on the eastern coast of Canada.

According to APA, the US National Center for Hurricane Observation has released information that US hurricane "Fiona" has reached the Gulf of St. Lawrence.

The hurricane first hit the Canadian provinces of Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Islands, and then Newfoundland.

In total, 414,000 people were deprived of electricity.
