On June 17, Parliament Speaker Glauk Konjufca will pay a visit to meet with former KLA leaders who are facing the Special Court.

The visit and the meeting were confirmed by the Chief of Cabinet of the Speaker of the Assembly, Ilir Kërçeli.

Through a Facebook post, Kërçeli said that "Together with the Speaker of Parliament Konjufca on June 17, we travel to visit former KLA leaders in The Hague."

In The Hague, the former KLA leaders, in addition to visits by members and deputies of the PDK, also met with the Prime Minister of Albania, Edi Rama.

But they had refused a meeting with the Minister of Justice, Albulena Haxhiu.

Former Kosovo President Hashim Thaci, former Democratic Party of Kosovo leader Kadri Veseli, former KLA General Staff member Rexhep Selimi and former KLA spokesman Jakup Krasniqi are charged with war crimes and crimes against humanity.

They have been detained in The Hague since November 2020 and have pleaded not guilty to the charges against
