Congress leader Ram Singh has filed a case at Banipark police station in Jaipur.

Jaipur:

Zee TV anchor Rohit Ranjan, BJP MP and National Spokesperson Rajyavardhan Rathod, Army Major, in connection with Congress leader Rahul Gandhi's statement of Wayanad being linked to the Udaipur incident. A case has been registered against Surendra Punia and several other persons including Uttar Pradesh MLA Kamlesh Saini on Saturday night.

A case has been registered by Congress leader Ram Singh at Banipark police station in Jaipur under sections 504, 505, 153A, 295A, 120B IPC and various sections of IT Act 2000 of the Indian Penal Code.

The case was registered hours after Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot criticized the channel.

The complainant alleged that anchor Rohit Ranjan falsely broadcast a statement of Rahul Gandhi in his show DNA.

Rahul Gandhi made a statement in the context of vandalism in the office of Wayanad in his constituency Kerala.

While it was linked to the Udaipur incident.

In Udaipur, a tailor was brutally murdered by two men with a knife on Tuesday.

He said that such an act by the media group was done under a conspiracy with MP Rajyavardhan Rathod, Army Major Surendra Poonia, Kamlesh Saini.

He had shared the clip on Twitter to take political advantage and incite the sentiments of the people.

Earlier in the day, the Chief Minister had criticized the channel for broadcasting a false report, saying the channel had wrongly linked Rahul Gandhi's statement of the Wayanad incident with the Udaipur incident.

Gehlot said that "Rahul Gandhi had said about the accused of vandalism in his Wayanad office that they are children, they should be forgiven.

But Zee TV ran that Rahul Gandhi is saying about those who have killed in Udaipur that they have children, they should be forgiven."
