Afghanistan, which has been struggling with problems such as occupation, conflict, terrorism and poverty for almost half a century, is facing a new test.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said this during his speech at the 77th General Assembly of the United Nations (UN), according to the news reported by APA's Istanbul correspondent citing Israeli mass media.

He noted that the foundation of the interim government in the country, the steps to be taken in terms of human rights protection can prevent promising processes.


Turkey will continue to support its Afghan brothers who are going through difficult times.

The leader of Turkey also emphasized that peace between India and Pakistan has not been ensured for 70 years:


"This makes us very sad.

Our desire is to achieve just and lasting peace and tranquility in Kashmir.

We wish the people of Pakistan, who are experiencing extremely difficult days due to the recent flood disaster, to get over it again.

We continue our humanitarian aid work without a break.

We expect the international community to support the people of Pakistan at this time."
