Finnish President Sauli Niinistö and Prime Minister Sanna Marin will announce their positions on NATO membership on Thursday.

APA reports that the local YLE TV channel reported this with reference to the President's Office.

It is noted that the information reflecting their attitude to the issue will be announced on May 12 at 10:00 local time.

Earlier, in an interview with Japan's NHK, Marin said that the Finnish government would decide within a week whether the country could join NATO.
