75th Independence Day:

Let us inform that on the occasion of Independence Day, India is not only being decorated with the tricolor, but elaborate security arrangements have been made from Delhi to Jammu and Kashmir.

The main program of Independence Day will be held in Delhi and security has been tightened around the Red Fort here.

At the same time, the police machinery has been alerted in all the states so that there is no hindrance in the celebrations.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the nation from the ramparts of the Red Fort in Delhi.

Delhi Police has deployed more than 10,000 personnel around the Red Fort.

From cameras with facial recognition system to multi-level security arrangements have been made at the entrances of the Red Fort.

In addition, more than 400 kite-flyers and kite-catchers have been deployed on the roofs of buildings and at sensitive places in the vicinity of the fort.

Apart from this, an area of ​​five kilometers from the Red Fort has been declared as a 'no kite zone' (prohibition of kite flying) till the celebrations are over.

Special Commissioner of Police (Law and Order) Deepender Pathak had told that Section 144 of the Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC) has already been imposed in Delhi.

Anyone found flying a kite, a balloon or a Chinese candle will be punished till the end of the program at the Red Fort on August 15.

Anti-drone systems of Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) and other security agencies have also been installed, police said.


Security has also been beefed up in the country's financial capital Mumbai.

Police have increased patrolling on the streets and anti-drone systems have also been deployed.

According to an official, there is no specific threat alert in view of the Independence Day, but security at important installations has been beefed up.

He said, “We are investigating to prevent any untoward incident.

The 'Operation All Out' is going on since Wednesday, which includes checking hotels, vehicles and blocking the road.

Action is being taken against history sheeters and people with criminal image.”
