In order to carry out large-scale demining operations in the field of creating a safe, stable and healthy living environment in Karabakh, the Demining Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan (ANAMA) is continuously working towards expanding its material and technical base and increasing its capacity.

According to information, 5 more specially trained dogs will be involved in demining operations in liberated areas.

It was noted that within the framework of the Memorandum of Understanding signed between the Marshall Legacy Institute (MLI) and ANAMA, 25 out of 30 mine detection dogs have already been handed over to the Agency.

It is planned to send the remaining 5 dogs by the first half of 2023.

In the previous stages, demining dogs sent to Azerbaijan underwent adaptation training with their guide and accreditation according to International Minesweeping Standards (IMAS), and were involved in the operations carried out in Karabakh: "Our four-legged helpers participated in demining operations in the liberated territories, in the direction of the implementation of the "Great Return" project. makes its special contribution to creating a safe environment".
