Twenty-four alleged terrorists have been detained in the past week in an attempt to smuggle from Turkey to Greece and Syria.

This was announced by the Ministry of National Defense of Ankara, quoted by the state television TRT-Haber, BTA reported.

A statement from the Ministry of Defense stated that 11 of the detainees were members of the FETO (the Fethullah terrorist organization, which according to Turkish authorities was behind the coup attempt in 2016).

Two of those arrested are members of ISIS (Islamic State) and three from the PKK (Kurdistan Workers' Party).

The Turkish army has neutralized nine PKK fighters in northern Iraq

It is not reported in which group the other detainees are members.
