150 people without concluded employment contracts were found in drinking establishments and restaurants during inspections of the Main Labor Inspectorate in June and July, BNR reports.

A total of 1,133 inspections were carried out and are part of a special inspection campaign aimed at preventing undeclared work in the restaurant industry.

The results once again prove that, in terms of using unregulated practices on the labor market, the restaurant industry is among the high-risk activities, together with the hotel industry, construction and agriculture.

The worst form of undeclared work is work without a contract.

The labor inspectorate reports a 10% increase in inspections in 2021.

In total, violations of labor legislation found during these inspections are more than 6,300, with 810 related to wages and another 878 related to working hours, breaks and vacations.
