To ensure Ukraine's energy independence by 2023, DTEK commissioned 26 new coal mines, renovated more than 6,000 km of overhead lines and 2,000 energy facilities, including major repairs of TPP power units and their elements after enemy shelling. 

Investments in the second phase of one of the most powerful wind turbines in Eastern Europe, the Tyligul wind turbine, continued.

Conducted geological exploration, construction and drilling works on gas fields. 

Capital investments of "Metinvest" are focused on restoration and development of safety of key metallurgical enterprises, support of production technology.

Repairs of furnaces at "Zaporizhstal" and "Kametstal", restoration of equipment at the Kryvyi Rih GZK, as well as, no less important, supporting the production infrastructure of the company "Pokrovskvugillia", putting new mine benches into operation.

Thanks to this, the company, located in Donetsk region near the front line, was able, despite the war, to supply Ukrainian metallurgical plants with coal concentrate.

In total, according to the results of 12 months of 2023, Ukrainian, associated and joint enterprises of the SCM investment group paid UAH 66.4 billion in taxes and fees to budgets of all levels (or $1.8 billion). 

11.4 billion hryvnias (or $0.3 billion) are allocated to social programs.

In particular, for programs for residents of the regions of presence, measures to strengthen labor safety and environmental protection.

In addition, SCM businesses, the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation and Shakhtar Football Club continue to support Ukraine and Ukrainians in these difficult times.

During the two years of the full-scale war, 7.6 billion hryvnias have already been directed to aid the military and civilians.

In addition, Rinat Akhmetov allocated UAH 1 billion to the "Heart of Azovstal" project to help the defenders of Mariupol and their families.
