Ukrainians who have debts for utilities can lose the subsidy.

This was announced by the Director of the Department of Pensions, Insurance Payments, Social Services, Housing Subsidies and Benefits of the Pension Fund Olena Okhrimenko.

According to her, if the debt exceeds UAH 680 and is not repaid within three months, the Pension Fund of Ukraine does not assign a subsidy until the person enters into a restructuring agreement or repays the debt.

It should be noted that according to the government's decision, the subsidy is granted if the cost of utilities exceeds 15% of the average monthly total family income before the end of martial law and within 1 month after its abolition. The amount of the subsidy in the non-heating season is on average from 350 to 400 hryvnias.

When calculating the housing subsidy from the beginning of the 2023-2024 heating season, household income for the first and second quarters of 2023 is taken into account, income in the form of a pension is taken into account in the amount of the August pension payment.

It is possible to restore a subsidy that was denied. To do this, you need:

It is worth noting that the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted the state budget of Ukraine for 2024. The main item of expenditure is defense. However, spending on social support for Ukrainians has also increased. In particular, it is planned to provide housing subsidies in full.
