Europe's leading stock exchanges opened today's trading session in green after mixed sessions from the previous days, with investors starting to bet that the European Central Bank will start cutting interest rates from the beginning of next year.

London's FTSE 100 added 17.87 points, or 0.24 percent, to 7507,71.10 points as of 35:<> a.m. weather.

In Frankfurt, the DAX rose 19.52 points, or 0.12 percent, to 16,552.63 points.

European exchanges closed mainly in green

The Paris CAC added 6.1 points, or 0.08 percent, to 7393,09.<> points.

The Pan-European Stoxx 600 Index rose 0.3 percent, with mining shares rising 1.6 percent at the start of trading.

Shares of retail companies fell 0.3 percent, H&M lost 2 percent after analysts at Deutsche Bank lowered the company's share status.
