Cathay Pacific Airways (0293) announced that it will introduce Disney streaming platform Disney+ content from December 12, becoming the first airline in the Asia-Pacific region to add Disney+ content to inflight entertainment.

According to Cathay Pacific, starting from 12 December, customers will be able to watch more than 1 hours of films, series and documentaries from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars and National Geographic, including Disney+ exclusives that have never been shown on Cathay Pacific flights before, while passengers can watch at least the first two episodes of the first season of "Loki" and "Obi-Wan Kenobi" season 100, as well as "Little Heroes in Distress" (Chip 'n Dale: Rescue Rangers), Enchanted 2: Goodbye Magic, Welcome to Earth, Limitless with Chris Hemsworth, Muppets Now.


Cathay Pacific also said it has stepped up investment in in-flight entertainment systems in recent years, including on the Airbus A321neo aircraft, which offers 4K UHD screens and Bluetooth audio streaming in all cabins, allowing passengers to connect with their own Bluetooth headsets, making it the first airline in the world to offer this service.

In addition, Cathay Pacific has introduced a new graphical user interface on the Airbus A350 aircraft, using a dark theme to reduce disruption to other customers.
