President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy visited the United States for the third time this year. As a result of a number of meetings, in particular with President Joe Biden and Pentagon Chief Lloyd Austin, it was possible to agree on important military assistance for Ukraine.

Secretary of State Anthony Blinken announced that the United States will provide $128 million in security assistance to Ukraine. and weapons with equipment within the limits of previously authorized reductions by USD 197 million.

In particular, the aid package will include additional ammunition for air defense in order, according to Blinken, "to help strengthen Ukraine's air defense against air attacks from Russia now and next winter." Artillery ammunition, anti-tank warfare equipment, and cluster munitions will also be transferred.

According to the Pentagon, this package is the 47th tranche from the Biden administration from the stocks of the Ministry of Defense, which began to be provided to Ukraine in August 2021.

March 2022

Ukraine received $1.1 billion in defense aid – three packages of $200 million, $800 million and $100 million, which included Javelin anti-tank systems, drones, pistols, machine guns, cartridges, bulletproof vests and other weapons.

April and May 2022

The United States provided another $2.3 billion in military aid to Ukraine.

June 2022

The United States has allocated three packages of military aid to Ukraine – $700 million, $1 billion and $450 million. Then, for the first time, the provision of highly mobile artillery rocket systems HIMARS was announced. The Ukrainian military also received ammunition, Javelin missiles, shells, and Mi-17 helicopters.

July 2022

In July, Ukraine received almost $1.5 billion in U.S. military aid.

August 2022

In August, the United States allocated four large packages of military aid: $1 million on August 550, $8 billion on August 1, $19 million on August 775, and $24 billion 2 million on August 980. On the occasion of Independence Day, Ukraine received NASAMS anti-aircraft missile systems, shells of various calibers, and drones.

September, October and November 2022

In September, the volume of US military aid to Ukraine amounted to more than $2.8 billion, in October – $1.6 billion, in November – %1.2 billion. At the end of the year, there were two packages of weapons worth USD 275 million and USD 1 billion 850 million.

The largest package of military aid was allocated by the United States on January 6 – $3 billion 75 million. In particular, Bradley infantry fighting vehicles, M113 armored personnel carriers, artillery shells of various calibers, HMMWV wheeled vehicles, ammunition for HIMARS, anti-tank missiles, cartridges, rifles and other weapons and equipment.

The United States provided two more large aid packages on January 19 and February 3 – USD 2.5 billion and USD 2 billion 175 million.

March, April, May 2023

In March, Ukraine received $750 million in aid, $2.9 billion in April, and almost $2.2 billion in May.

June, July 2023

In June – $2.9 billion, in July – by $2.5 billion. In particular, in July, Ukraine received cluster munitions for the first time.

August, September 2023

In August 2023, the United States announced the allocation of two military aid packages worth $200 and $250 million. In September, three packages of military aid to Ukraine – worth $665 million, $600 million and $325 million.
