Wall Street's main indexes fell at the beginning of today's session as worries about high interest rates affected the yield on Washington's 10-year sovereign bonds, while investors await new economic data and positions of Federal Reserve officials in the coming days, Reuters reported.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average lost 56.25 points, or 0.17 percent, to 33,907.59.

Wall Street opened with growth

The broader Standard & Poor's 500 index began trading, retreating 9.44 points, or 0.22 percent, to 4310,62.39 points, while the Nasdaq high-tech index fell 27.0 points, or 30.13 percent, to 172,54.<>.
