Mustafa Suleiman, co-founder of Google DeepMind, believes that "generative artificial intelligence is only a phase."

He is a British AI researcher and entrepreneur who co-founded DeepMind, an AI company acquired by Google. He is currently the co-founder and CEO of a new artificial intelligence startup, Inflection AI.

He previously predicted that anyone will be able to have AI assistants in the next five years. His company, Inflection AI, launched its chatbot Pi as a competitor to ChatGPT in May, focusing on personal advice and conversations.
His comment comes amid the rise of generative AI tools that are already going beyond the chat interface promoted by ChatGPT last November economic.bg.
Analysts are already making predictions about future trends. In April, investors told Insider that the next wave of AI startups will enable developers to build applications using artificial intelligence models, as well as integrate them with external data sources.

Suleiman's remarks come amid fears that the boom in generative artificial intelligence could be overexposed. According to data from web analytics firm Similarweb, web traffic to ChatGPT's site fell for the third straight month in August. In August, investors told the Wall Street Journal that turning AI hype into an effective business is harder than it seems.
