Let us know that on Wednesday, the local stock market closed with gains for the fourth consecutive trading session after fluctuations amid a strong trend in Asian markets. During the day, the index fell 292.23 points to 65,488.03.

Similarly, the broader NSE Nifty rose 36.15 points, or 0.18 per cent, to close at 19,611.05. This was the fourth consecutive trading session of the rise in the domestic stock markets. Top gainers in the Sensex pack included Bharti Airtel, HDFC Bank, Titan, ITC, UltraTech Cement, Sun Pharma, Bajaj Finserv, Bajaj Finance, HUL and Kotak Mahindra Bank.

On the other hand, Tata Steel, Axis Bank, IndusInd Bank, NTPC and ICICI Bank were among the laggards.
