Wall Street's main indexes rose in early trading ahead of the release later this week of key U.S. inflation data.

Investors are full of hope that a slowdown in price growth may provide an incentive for the Federal Reserve to end monetary tightening sooner than expected.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average added 112.54 points, or 0.33 percent, to 34,056.94.
