Rajiv Jain's GQG Partners has bought an additional 3% stake in Adani Transmission. The value of this stake is Rs 2,633 crore.

In an exchange filing on Monday, Adani Transmission said that on June 30, GQG Partners bought equity shares from promoter entities, after which the total shareholding of GQG Partners in the company reached 6.54%.

Prior to this, GQG Partners had a 3.54% stake in Adani Transmission.

  • Fortitude Trade and Investment sold 3.39 crore shares of Adani Transmission at Rs 786.17/share
  • Goldman Sachs GQG Partners International Opportunities Fund buys 1.40 crore shares
  • GQG Partners Emerging Markets Equity Fund bought an additional 786.19 lakh shares through a block deal at a price of Rs 72.59/share.


On March 2, GQG Partners invested $4.1 billion in four Adani Group companies, including Adani Enterprises and Adani Green. After this, this investor firm bought a stake of $ 87-400 million through a purchase in the open market.

GQG founder, Rajiv Jain, had already said that he expects his investment in the Adani Group to double. In a conversation with BQ Prime, he said, "I have invested in a corporate group whose entrepreneurs do a great job in execution."
