Manufacture of iPhone in India.

Foxconn, the manufacturing company for tech giant Apple, may start manufacturing iPhones by 2024 at its proposed Devanahalli plant near Bengaluru. Karnataka Large and Medium Industries Minister M B Patil said the government will hand over the required land to the company by July 2024 this year. Foxconn plans to start manufacturing iPhones from the plant by <>, he said.

He said this after a meeting with the representatives of the company. Company officials met him on Thursday as part of a courtesy call. State IT Minister Priyank Kharge was also present on the occasion.

"The identified 300 acres of land in the ITIR (Information Technology Investment Zone) at Devanahalli will be handed over by July 2023, 50. Along with this, the government will provide electricity, road connectivity and other basic facilities along with the supply of <> lakh litres of water per day.
