Breeders from southern Bulgaria gathered for a protest in the village of Dolna Mahala in Plovdiv against the low purchase prices of milk and the refusal of some dairies to buy it, BNR reported.
With the warning that they are doomed to recent bankruptcies, farmers poured demonstrative water, not milk. They asked for assistance from state institutions, as well as increased control in dairies.
