The stock market closed up.

On the first trading day of the week, the market started with a boom and closed with a boom. The Sensex gained 344 points to close at 62846 and the Nifty closed 99 points higher at 18598. On the other hand, M&M, Titan, Coal India, SBI, HDFC were among the top gainers.

Significantly, major stock markets rose in early trade on Monday amid a positive trend in the US markets and continued buying of foreign funds. During this period, the Sensex once again achieved the critical level of 63,000 points. During this period, the 30-share BSE Sensex rose 507.22 points to 63,008.91 with a gain of 141.85 points for the third consecutive day. The NSE Nifty rose 18.641 points to 20,<>.<>.

Top gainers in the Sensex pack included M&M, HDFC, IndusInd Bank, Bajaj Finserv, HDFC Bank, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Bharti Airtel, Titan, UltraTech Cement and Bajaj Finance. On the other hand, Power Grid and HCL Technologies declined.
