The stock market closed down.

Today was a day of decline in the country's stock markets. Both Sensex and Nifty fell by about half a percent. The Sensex has seen a decline of 371 points and the Nifty has seen a decline of 104 points. The Sensex closed at 61560 while the Nifty closed at 18181.
Stock markets came down due to the fall in shares of information technology companies amid a weak trend in the US market. THE 50-SHARE INDEX ENDED WITH GAINS IN THE SENSEX PACK, INCLUDING HEROMOTOCO, ITC, INDUSINDBK, UPL, BHARTIARTL. AT THE SAME TIME, THE SHARES THAT FELL THE MOST INCLUDED KOTAKBANK, APOLLOHOSP, SBILIFE, TCS, HCLTECH.

Earlier in the morning, the 30-share BSE Sensex was trading at 100,87.61, down 831.60 points in early trade. Similarly, the broader NSE Nifty fell 29.1 points to 18,257.40 in early trade. Top losers in the Sensex pack included Wipro, Infosys, HCL Technologies, Tata Consultancy Services, Tech Mahindra, HUL, Bajaj Finserv and Bajaj Finance.

On the other hand, Bharti Airtel, IndusInd Bank, Larsen & Toubro, ITC, UltraTech Cement and SBI were trading with gains.
