Utility services have become more expensive in Ukraine: in March 2023 alone, the price increase was almost 5% compared to the same period last year.

This is evidenced by the data of the State Statistics Service of Ukraine.

In March, the cost of "communal" in Ukraine increased by a total of 4.6%.

• The cost of garbage cleaning services increased by 17%;

• the cost of water supply - by 1.6%;

• apartment building management services - by 1.5%;

• sewerage - by 1.2%;

• hot water, heating - by 0.2%.

At the same time, the price of electricity did not change.

But gas in general became cheaper - by 0.4%.

If we compare March 2023 with February of the same year

, the cost of complex services decreased by 0.1% during the month.

However, some services were added to the price:

• housing maintenance and repair - by 0.4%;

• garbage cleaning - by 2.8%;

• apartment building management services - by 0.2%.

As a reminder, the government has extended the special period with discounted electricity prices until April 30.  

We note that the tariffs for water supply and drainage in Ukraine may become more expensive in the near future, if the relevant decision is made by the National Energy and Mineral Resources Commission.
